Live Class Policies and Disclaimers
CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT BY TEACHUCOMP
In the unlikely event TEACHUCOMP needs to cancel an instructor-led class because the class date has not met minimum enrollment (determined 2-3 weeks prior) or postpone a class due to circumstances beyond our control, registered students will be notified as quickly as possible. In such cases, the student may choose to reschedule to a future class date at no additional charge or cancel with refund if any money is on account for that specific registration.
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE BY STUDENT
IF REQUESTED 15 OR MORE CALENDAR DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS DATE:Cancellation or reschedule requests received 15 calendar days or more before the class starts will be processed promptly.
- Cancellation requests made in this timeframe are eligible for refund of money on account for this specific registration.
- Reschedule requests made in this timeframe will be accommodated if availability exists and will be processed at no additional charge.
Cancellation or reschedule requests made 14 calendar days or less before the class starts will be charged 100% of the course fee and are not entitled to a refund. The student has one (1) opportunity to use our Make-Up policy to have those funds applied to a later class date.
SUBSTITUTIONS
If you are unable to attend your class, a substitute who meets the course prerequisites may attend in your place at no additional charge for the original class title and date. If you cannot find a substitute, you will be subject to the class cancellation policy.MAKE-UP POLICY
Students are permitted one (1) Make-Up opportunity to attend an instructor-led class that was paid for but not previously attended for no additional charge.
- Make-Up class registrations are subject to availability and are not entitled to refund.
- You must CALL 1-877-925-8080 (9-5 Eastern Monday-Friday) and speak with one of our Education Advisors to schedule your Make-up class.
- Students may not reschedule a Make-up class registration. Any no-shows or cancellations forfeit their one Make-up opportunity. Additionally, TEACHUCOMP reserves the right to retire courses due to lack of demand. Retired classes are not available for Make-Up.
SKILLS & DECORUM
Prerequisites are listed on our course outlines for students to assess their suitability for a class. Additionally, TEACHUCOMP’s advisors may be able to help you determine an appropriate level. Should a student lack the prerequisite skills for class or fail to maintain a professional demeanor in class, TEACHUCOMP may exercise the following options:
INSTRUCTOR EXCUSAL
If an instructor finds a student lacks the class prerequisite skills and is slowing down the overall class pace, the instructor may excuse the student and remove them from the class. Per our Make-up Policy, excused students may repeat the class once at no additional charge after remedying the issue causing the excusal, such as learning the necessary prerequisite skills.
RIGHT OF DISMISSAL
To maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning for all, TEACHUCOMP reserves the right to dismiss a participant who harasses other participants, the instructor, or who in TEACHUCOMP's judgment acts inappropriately or disruptively. NOTE: In the case of dismissal or instructor excusal, TEACHUCOMP’s liability is limited to a refund of the class fee paid by the participant or participant's organization. TEACHUCOMP is not responsible for any consequential loss or inconvenience arising from the adjusted status.
NOTE: In the case of dismissal or choice by a Restricted Participation student to leave class at the time of status change, TEACHUCOMP’s liability will be limited to a refund of the class fee already paid by the participant/participant's organization. TEACHUCOMP shall not be responsible for any consequential loss or inconvenience arising from the adjusted status.RECORDING NOTICE
This online event enables an attendee to participate through a personal device's microphone and/or camera. An attendee may elect not to participate through use of a microphone and/or camera. The election of an attendee to use a microphone and/or camera constitutes a release and waiver of rights in the capture of the attendee's image, likeness, and/or voice for the exclusive use by TEACHUCOMP.
